As part of the activities undertaken to support reconstruction of areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, ELIIY Power co-sponsored "LIGHT UP NIPPON" on August 11.
"LIGHT UP NIPPON" is an event in which fireworks were simultaneously set off in Pacific Coast areas of three Tohoku prefectures damaged significantly in the Great East Japan Earthquake (Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima), as a gesture of remembrance and a prayer for recovery. This time, which was the third edition of the event, ELIIY Power set up two systems combining a portable "POWER YIILE PLUS" electricity storage system and balloon floodlights at Yamada fishing port, a viewing area for the fireworks display in Yamada-machi, Shimohei County, Iwate Prefecture. Some 5,000 fireworks were set off - the most ever in Yamada-machi - and many local residents gathered to enjoy the display.
